Working with low light conditions.

Over the next few weeks we have a couple of shoots to complete on location, the first being a fair at Tewkesbury next week where it will be the evening so we will have to work in low light conditions. We have been asked to go away and play with the ISO, shutter speed and aperture settings in our cameras in low light so we will be prepared for Tewkesbury. I had walked along the old railway line which is now a footpath a few nights ago and i noticed how the street lights dimly lit the length of the path with a lovely warm light, perfect for these test shots. I took my tripod, camera and two lenses and went for a nightime cycle ride. I started by playing with shutter speed, then aperture and finally ISO. I also played with the flash in my camera and different lenses for further effect. I was happy with the results and now feel much more prepared for the low light conditions at Tewkesbury. Below are some of the shots that i took, in the captions are the settings so you can see the difference changing them around can have on an image.
